How does food scanning work?

You take a photo of your meal in the app. The image is sent securely to our server, which uses a vision AI model to identify the dish and its likely ingredients. We then look up nutrition data for those ingredients in the USDA FoodData Central database and return the totals to your app — typically in 5–10 seconds.

How accurate are the AI nutrition estimates?

Estimates are good for everyday tracking but they're not lab-precise. Hidden oils, sauces, or unusual portion sizes can throw off the result. After a scan you can edit ingredients and serving counts to dial in accuracy. For medically-relevant tracking, weigh your portions and verify values manually.

What's included in Premium?

Premium unlocks unlimited daily AI scans, AI-generated personalized diet plans, and the ability to edit your plan via AI chat. The free tier still includes meal logging, macro tracking, water tracking, weight history, and Apple Health sync.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Subscriptions are managed through your Apple ID, not our app. Open iOS Settings → [your name] → Subscriptions → Calorie AI and tap Cancel Subscription. Your Premium access remains active until the end of the current billing period.

Can I get a refund?

All payments are processed by Apple, so we can't issue refunds directly. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, sign in with your Apple ID, and request a refund for your Calorie AI subscription.

Apple Health says it's connected, but I see 0 steps. Why?

Open iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Health → Calorie AI and confirm that Steps and Active Energy are turned ON. If you originally tapped "Don't Allow", you must re-enable them here — the app cannot re-prompt.

I signed in on another device and got logged out. Why?

Calorie AI enforces a single active session per account for security. When you sign in on a new device, any other devices are signed out. To use the app on a different device, simply sign in there and your data will sync from the cloud.

Delete your account

You can permanently delete your account and all associated data — profile, food log, diet plans, weight history, and subscription state — at any time.

Option 1: In-app (recommended)

  1. Open Calorie AI on your iPhone
  2. Tap the Settings tab
  3. Scroll to Delete Account and confirm

Option 2: Email request

Email dishagajera8@gmail.com from the email address linked to your account with the subject "Account Deletion Request". We'll process the deletion within 7 business days and send you a confirmation when it's complete.

Note: Deleting the app from your iPhone alone does not delete your account from our servers. You must use one of the methods above to remove your data.
